My enthusiasim died last month, I am sick to death of painting orks I just want to do ANYTHING else. thats why I started a secret project, muhaha. I been sculpting and filling cracks and converting models... its been great. But still the orks plague my work bench. Its only through sheer determination through grinding tedium that I am still painting them.
To be honest with only 50 pieces left to complete the army I dont know if I should have push hard to finish them ALL next month or split it over the remaining 2 months.
My Girlfriend is sick of orks too. She want to see me paint some other figures (mostly cause I am always grumbling about orks).
I should be able to get these orks done by tonight, but if other entries arent up till sunday then thats sweet. it keeps with the round the month off to the next weekend thing we have enjoyed thus far =]

Your enthusiasm died Dustan??! Criikey...I feel a bit stink then ...I've only managed to paint 3 large FOW Infantry bases and one Humber III armored car... We've been gaming so much it's distracted me into side projects...like finishing the Mordheim table and that FOW table...

Another one over, and a surprise (almost) victory to that monkey of code, c0d3monk33, and the lucky voter is burbsee once again. By lucky I mean the only voter !? The compo seems to have died out; only one vote this and last month, and the organiser hasn't even been able to enter his own army the last two months My proverbial hat goes off to the three of you who are still sticking it out, and without whom this would have definately flopped. That said, it's just not worth running the monthly compos from my point of view any longer. So sadly, I'm going to call off the prize aspect for the remaining months, but would certainly still like to see monthly entries from the big three, and will still anounce any interest if anyone want's to pm me with their choice of "winner" for the month. If you three stick it out till the end, I will stand by my promise and send you all t-shirts (even if you've already got one) (Send me your addresses for your mystery prizes - and Dustand, send me yours too, I've lost it)

What the? Did you just say I won this month Phil? Or did I read that wrong? I enjoyed this competition but found my natural tendancy to fly off and start new projects kinda got in the way. Possibly the scope was a little to grand? I do like the idea of competitions but maybe something smaller scale that could run over a month? Or a couple of months (since that's pretty much my attention span evidently). Maybe focus on painting a single UNIT or building a single piece of TERRAIN? And I do appreciate you giving out prizes Phil but I'm not entirely sure they're req'd...just the undying adulation of my peers would be sufficient for me . Seriously I don't think I'm going to paint much since I've launched into a Flames of War modular table but I *definitely* intend to finish the 1500pt NZer force THIS YEAR and I'll probably keep posting intermittant progress reports after the competition...

Well Dustan, Stu and myself have been quietly discussing what to do now that it seems everyone has gotten a bit tired of the comp (participants included) although we couldn’t reach a full consensus I’ve decided in the great rock n roll tradition to go out in a blaze of glory rather than slip quietly into the night
This will be the final month for me and it will be a last ditch effort to finish my army. Im desperately close to achieving my goal of a fully painted army and to let that dream go now would be a waste.

Tell you what Phil, since we're wrapping the competition up don't worry about a prize for me this month. I've already got five of your nifty metal base inserts and I wouldn't feel entirely honest in taking any more free prizes from you given the amount of work I've actually done on my FOW forces in September!

If you prefer we could just stop now, that was a very close second on our list of choices & the only reason I didnt go with it was I didn't want to just give up but if now one cares... I'll still finish my army I just wont bother with the pictures/posts or time limits.
