Second cast from the mold I created earlier this week and it's almost pristine (can you spot the minor issues)? Ready for some building too once it's dry! I hope to get a couple more casts in tonight and start building up some demo pieces for photography later this month. Comments are welcome!

yah, that's it. or working on their workshop tans. I finished my little farmyard, been a few years since I made one of those!
Looking good, is that all one piece? open face mold? I hadn't noticed it was painted when I first looked, the laptop screen didn't show it up too well. (err, just thinking, it is painted, isn't it? or is that just the natural colour of the plaster?)
I'm back into terrain now, thanks to DBA. Camps, BUAs, hills, waterways.... I'm going to be buried under them soon. Them and the armies, which currently looks like; Sub-Roman Britons Saxons Picts Visigoths 100 years War English Medieaval French Anglo Saxons Vikings Samurai
After that, I'm going to start on 15mm DBA...

Nice work there Stu Phil, look forward to seeing the pictures of the finished Farm. I've been a bit slack over the past few weeks, I did however make a bit of progress on the Dungeeon / Mine entrance. Cheers Kim

Open face one sided mold, so the back is flat, but nobody looks at the back do they? That shot is wet Ultracal 30 plaster straight from the mold. Here's what a couple of dry ones look like for the intact demo piece I'm building. The join is a bit shonky, I should have thought the edging out better, ah well next one I'll get right! A bit more assembling then I have to paint the bugger. Might also try making some tiny 15mm scale cafe chairs and tables from garden wire. Pity I don't have a painted German 15mm motorcycle team because I could pose them in the cafe furniture, and make it a French building

Hey that's pretty sweet man! Where the heck did you source 15mm scale livestock from?

This is for 20mm, and the animals are 1:76 or 1:87 railway bits. You can get practically anything imaginable as a raliway accessory, you just have to work in the scales available. I like the sheep and pigs best, The sheep are all the same, but I chopped the legs of some so they could be lying down. For 15mm, I see the olympian games catalogue has a few dotted around. And chinese exploding oxen or something too.
