Seeing as this is a competition thread, this shouldn't be off topic. Is there ever going to be another mid-winter modelling madness type of thing? I was just thinking about that while walking the dog funnily enough. No plans at the minute, the last one sort of petered out as everyone lost enthusiasm, but maybe something similar oneday.

I do have an idea for something very similar to MWMM but on a smaller scale. something like this:
A 3 month challenge to collect/paint a scout size force combinied with a terrain piece themed to match the force you've painted.
By a scout size force I'd be looking at something like: 1 leader, 1 or 2 squads or 5-10 troops & either a light vehicle or a smaller elite unit of troops.
The terrain piece could be anything from a forest to a ruined building, a length of barricade, ruined tank etc etc.
No restrictions on genre/style/game system/brand etc altho I would suggest we all stick to 25-28mm figures so we dont end up with wildly incomparable entries (Fow & WH40K).

Yeah I could manage that easily and I havn't painted most of my stuff so it would give me motivation. I like it. Is it instead of the next challenge or as well or after or what?

Persoally I reckon we combine the two!
Three monthly challenges that go like this:
Month One: Squad and Leader
Month Two: Squad and Vehicle
Month Three: Elite and Terrain
Maybe? That would certainly keep me focussed.

Hmmmm yes I like that schedule it would be fine for me.
How many pages can there be in a thread anyway?

Im not sure I entirely understand the question but home made conversions/alternate models are MORE than welcome. In fact they are generally appreciated more than a stock built kits from GW.

Ahhh rats you know ya missed the boat when everyone is talking about the next competition. I've almost finished my CD terrain, I only started on Wednesday night after seeing a thred on Stu's Blog. I'll post some progress shots regardless as my CD terrain is designed as a display diorama for FOW tanks etc.
Hey when we are putting this new competion together it might be a good idea to think of how this is going to work for the non GW games like FOW. I'm happy to dig out some of my old 40K stuff for this one (good excuse to freshen it up a bit) but some guys out there may only have FOW tanks/troops etc.
Just a thought anyway
Cheers
Kim

I cant help but feel we've hit on a winning formula when people keep putting up entries after the compo is finished!
I look forward to seeing what you both come up with.
