Hey everyone, welcome aboard. There's a load of sculpting tutorials around, there's a link to one on one of our member's sites; www.tabletop-terrain.com/. I'll see what else I can rustle up. The best place to ask for tips like that is here.

40K High Elves? Well that's certainly new I've heard of LotR HIgh Elves and Warhammer Fantasy Battle HIgh Elves but none other. Only kidding. Hiya, I'm FC but you can all call me James I used to and still do play the occasional game of Lord of the Blings, but am more into Warhammer Fantasy and Confrontation at the moment. Have fun and enjoy the forums - FC

Oops, I should possibly introduce myself as well since I've been posting stuff up here... My real name is Stuart, I'm a 35 year old software engineer with a patient wife and one toddler aged boy, all of us living in Royal Oak, Auckland. As a teenager back I was introduced to Games Workshop's 'Rogue Trader' (aka Wh40k first edition) in the 80's which I played faithfully for about 5 years before giving it up. I rediscovered the hobby 3 years ago when my parents moved out of the ancestral home and unearthed a dusty old shoe-box of plastic 80's Imperial Guard and 'beaky' Space Marines. These days I mainly play GW's Mordheim but also own various armies (Guard, Chaos Marines, Tyranids, Vampire Counts, Reiklander Warband, Orc warband, Undead warband, NZ 2nd EF) in various game systems (WH40k, WHFB, Mordheim and Flames of War) in various states of partial assembly and painting. In fact now I think about it I don't think I can reasonably say I have a single, complete force in any game I play. I also love making Fantasy terrain and pedantically maintain a blog: www.tabletop-terrain.com detailing work in progress and nifty stuff I find on the Internet.

Hey everybody,
My name is Dustan, I'm from Gisborne but have lived in Auckland for 7 years now, I been playing collecting painting and building terrain for about 21 years now (I started back when GW wern't wallet humping greed driven nasties, $40 would get you 20 skeletons, 8 undead cav and a chariot).
I collect Bloodangels (3000pts most of a battle company), Orks (2000pts), Tau (3000pts), Empire(1500pts), Skaven (2000pts) and vampire counts (3000pts).
I havent actually played a single game in over 3 years now... so if anyone in Aucklands interested let me know... I can offer a bit of terrain but no table... bit sad really
Anyways, time to check out the rest of the forums

Hey Dustan, that's some serious points values you have there!
Where abouts in Auckland are you? I've got a garage with a gaming table that hasn't seen a lot of use recently - and my 40k Imperial Guard troopers have been lurking in boxes for over a year now because I've been on an extended Fantasy/Mordheim binge for some reason...

Hey there c0d3monk33. I am living in Albany on the shore (miles from anywhere but Uni;) always keen for a bit of a drive though. I'd be happy to get into a bit of mordenheim aye, havent played it but I like the idea of it (I dont even know if it was out before the last game I played) The only problem with that kinda pointage is that even after all these years I still havent made it much past half way painting them... I think I am still in the hobby cause of the dream of one day running out of models to paint

Dustan, the absolute beauty of Mordheim is that these days the ENTIRE rulebook is available online! Check out 'The Living Rulebook' at: www.mordheim.comSpecialist games also have ALL their other rulebooks online as well. That's Necromunda, Battlefleet Gothic, Bloodbowl, Epic 40k, Inquisitor and Warmaster! Check out: www.specialist-games.comMad eh? Rulebooks for *FREE* from Games Workshop! All my personal Mordheim terrain etc. is detailed on my blog at www.tabletop-terrain.com. I live at Greenwood's Corner in Epsom which is a bit of a hike from Albany!

Yeah I have been admiring your blog (well, your work) over the last few weeks, (found it cause of your balse pirate ship on terragenesis (I like pirates alot)).
I started looking at the rules for making a warband for mordenheim, I got models enough to rip out skaven, human, possessed and I got some old darkelves around just begging for a use... didnt see rules though.
Skavens my favourite WH race so I'd be keen on them but to be honest, I'm worried about selecting troops =]
mail me at dustand@xtra.co.nz your not so far away and I really should get more use out of the thousands of dollars GW has robbed me of =]

Names Alan, Been gaming for 15 years now, am a financial planner based in wellington. I compete in a lot of 40k tournaments, and also do a bit of work for GWUK. i am quite impressed with pityaks work, i got to have a look at his bases recently in person and it has helped me decide to buy a bunch. My wifes a fulltime professional painter, mostly on ebay (as kiwis traditionally are not prepared to pay for good painting) and last year won a gold and bronze daemon at the OZ golden daemons. What are the odds of a wellington commission painter meet up? Rachel was happily surprised to find out that there are other wellingtonians doing commission painting. Cheers AL My site: www.tiberius.wellington.net.nz (not updated often) Rachels: www.ironhalo.net

Rachel and Alan, what can I say.
Your work is nothing short of pure inspiration. I am in awe of your ork conversions. I'm never going to look at my bits box the same way again.
Thanks for sharing =]
