Welcome aboard. Some of us don't mind long posts and grammatically correct sentences. Like you say, old school ...and some of us definately don't mind a quiet ale. I might have to go up there for some materials shortly, I'll give you a buzz!

cheers!
Another one from welly. I was looking at your terrain earlier and thought the huge tree trunks were very cool, You get so used to seeing lollipop treese that a hobbit could leap in a single bound (if he had the extra incentive of being chased by a particularly ornery warg) Seeing something big is a nice change

Welcome aboard
I've seen your last couple of auctions, nice stuff. I'm sure your victim to the "TradeMe customers don't appreciate good work syndrome" we've all been discussing.
What area of visual effects are you invovled in?

Hi
I work at Weta Digital. Currently working on kong. Have worked on iRobot and Return of the King also.
Pity its not Weta workshop though...they make some kicka$$ terrain!! I always think "MAN that would make a kool gaming board" when I visit there and see their stuff.
-LW
PS. My work is covered in a non disclosure agreement, so dont even bother asking about inner kong,LOTR, weta stuff. Im not allowed to talk about it.

I know, I was just thinking of the irony of an actual lotr filmset relic being used by a bunch of snot nosed 12 years olds with greasy paws to play wargames with (no actual insult intended to any greasy pawed snot nosed 12 year old gamers that might be lurking here)

tell you a good one, we were out in the car in avalon one day with the wifes cousin, who has no shame. He said, "I know, let's go and go see the LOTR set" yeah right. but he trots up to the security gaurd at the studios and asks if we go and have alook around "hmm? sure" says a bored looking gaurd, so we went and a couple of hours playing with poly rocks outisde the "prancing pony" or whatever it's called.
(that's the avalon in lower hutt, not the one from arthurian legend, obviosly)

Hi Just found the site through PitYaks auctions on trade me and the free gift got me in. What can I say I am a product of an industrialised consumer society blah blah.....ok I like free wargames stuff hehe. Having said that it seems nice here I shall grace you with my presence for a little while longer ( I cant keep a straight face) I am a keen painter working my way through a couple of armies for other ppl. (Dogs of war, Brettonians) I am also trying to do my ogre kingdoms army too. I even get to play a few games. @ Kurt : have you found the TAG Timaru armchair generals yet? not sure where they meet but I know the guy who runs it.

What?
Contact details on an auction? No, that's against the rules!
