I agree with Dunstan, nice to see there's some really talented NZers out there in the professional painting world . Those Orky conversions are great! I'm equally impressed by Pityak's efforts. I think I've said it in private, but I'll say it in public too...I applaud any person that's willing to make a go of turning their hobby into a viable business! Takes talent and a lot of perseverance imho!

Hi all, My names Dan I live in Upper Hutt, just out of wellington. I'm a painter realy. I dont play but have some interest in learning, trouble is I read the rules and didn't understand em that well (I learn by hands on) but I dont know anyone local that plays. I'm into the Lord of the Rings mini's by GW but have found some others from the US and UK that I will try and aquire over time.
I look forward to making some contributions and looking at all your great works.

Hi mad dan.
Your welcome here, since I'm a painter not a gamer myself, we've just been hijacked by all these gamers ;D

Hi all I'm Mark from Timaru (4 those interested I was one of the first members of the current Timaru Armchair Generals). I play wargames in many periods, and systems, and have a large collection of a rmies that I am building/painting. These include Blood Angels and Tyranids for 40k; british 8th army armour, and german Paras for FOW;Undead in Warhammer, and Samurai for DBA/DBM. (and others) That's all I can think of 4 now so I'll sign off

Hi there, Thanks for the invite, seems like a good idea. My userid is ChaosOrc, but you can call me ChaosOrc Named after the two warhammer fantasy armies I collect (about 2500 and 5500 points respectively) I live in Tauranga (last 18 months), over aged 40 (thats close enough!). I dont play as often as I paint and much less than I'd like, there arent many players here and work takes a lot of my time. From my web pages you can see I like programming and warhammer (no particular order) homepages.paradise.net.nz/brucebal/I look forward to wandering this board and seeing whats up. cheers

Hello There. My name is David and I live in Kaiapoi. Apart from never before having joined a Message Board, I have only started to take an interest in miniature painting over the last year. (I work with a colleague who is absolutely mad on wargaming etc and I thought I would give it a go!) I have started with Lord of the Rings and have specialised, thus far, on the Moria Goblins. Without getting too carried away, I am told by a seasoned painter that these are extremely well done and lately I have taken to creating decorative bases for the miniatures. These bases are the large 40mm lipped bases, and I have created 'rock-outcrops' on them which you can slip your 25mm figure into for display/transportation and remove them for wargaming. Looking forward to being part of this community.

Hey all
Great forum, be a while reading all this lot!
I'm a bit of a painter, not much of a gamer, but I paint all kinds of figures, from metal miniatures to 12" vinyl kits. (not very well either).
