no way i am not interested in tau i personally have about 1000-1500 points of marines and plan to take it to a full organiztation chart.i love how u can take 2 command squads i have completly filled up 1 at a cost of 950 points although to complete it i need to add the landraider transport.if u wanted to u could take over 2000 points of command (not that i do )

WOW I finished with time to spare =] Last drop of paint went on at 3:15 pm this afternoon. Full Album is here www.album.co.nz/a?1143. It has a bunck of photos of the models on a white background, easier to see the models but i rekon these battle board pics will look a bit better here. Heres what I painted this month 20 Storm Boyz  10 Strong Trukk Boyz Mob  2 War Trakks and a War Buggy  And 10 Bikes  I mentioned that if I had time i might finish the Mek from last month (never had time so he never join my quota). The battle board is still sitting static. I realised I need to go to a model store that stocks woodland scenics and I just havent been able to make it =[ I wanted to get these up before to late so ya'all can have a gander. There will be a bit more Fluff for the army comming later as I have been so busy modeling I havent had time to write anything. One more parting Pic, 2300 points of Orks painted so far... This is what they look like dominating 4 square feet of table >=]  Hope you liked them =] |

well once again I stand in awe of your ability to paint so much so quickly and to a good standard too. Great stuff Dustan!
Altho you know what all these orcs loaded on vehicles screams out to me?

(and if you all think Im totally mad Gorkamorka is an old GW based on roving bands of psychotic Orcs (as if there was another kind) racing round the desert hacking each other up!
Think Mad Max but rather than Mel Gibson its orcs. ;D

Aaaaahhhhh you're painting more 28mm figures in a month than I can paint 15mm guys  . I salute your modelling madness Dustan. I notice there's been progress on your terrain too! Lovely! I can't help but feel you need a better digital camera though...I've seen some of your Orks 'in the flesh' and those photos don't really do them quite as much justice as they deserve imho. That big truk looks fantastic! |

I talked to my first month photographer. he is able to help me get more pics of better quality, though if anyone want to take better photos I am sure I can move this lot to have them take  Thanks for your compliments too. I got to say, I want to paint less figures this month but I want to paint all the stealers and my usual lot of orks =] what with stealers, orks spacehulk and jungle board I am gunna be a busy boy this month *sigh* |

Whoa Dustand!!!! I have to say you surpass all standards of achievement in this competition,
I mean the midwinter modelling madness should be demanding normally, but painting a hoarde army for it!?! Suicide, glad to see you have made it thus far!!

Yeah, my advice to ANYONE painting joining a Modeling contest. NEVER pick a horde army...
having said that, I think the only thing that would be better than finally seeing my Waaagh in full colour would be having NO unpainted models (even then I think this feels better) Seeing all these ork assembled is pure gold.
Phil - I brought all those bits, I got 3 more ork bikes and a wrecked old style rhino coming. I dont really need any more vehicle bitz either... though there might be some cool killer can conversions comming, that is unless I buy the ones on trade me ATM, I am real tempted to buy them (I have bid on 2 zzap guns. I would love to scratch build them but it takes me ages to get the feel right and then stop. I usually add to much and then give up... I got this problem where they have to look like they would actually work and conform (at least partially) to the laws of physics...
as for the next 3 months I only have to paint 40 models a month to be able to complete the wagh to full strength. I would really like to finish it in 2 months and spend the last one doing something completely different. ahh well. we will see shant we =]
Oh and thank you all again. if it wasnt for the chance to earn recognition from my peers, I would still have half the orks I have now and they would almost ALL be unpainted. With you guys support the idea of painting all my models seems reachable.
