I'm glad to announce we are now New Zealand distributors of Pro-Create Sculpting putty
Probably the best two part sculpting putty in the world.
To Use:
1. Cut - desired amount of each part.
2. Mix - two parts together with fingers until a uniform gray color is achieved
3. Apply - to surface and sculpt.
Manipulating Cure Time:
* Place the mixed ProCreate in the freezer to stop hardening.
* Place the mixed ProCreate under a warm lamp (35 C max - oven recommended) to speed the hardening process.
Features and Benefits:
* Mixed Color: Gray
* No shrinkage
* Very easy to smooth
* Easy tooling and less sticky
* Holds Extremely Fine Detail
* Customizable Formula
Additional Curing Information:
* Thin sections will cure more slowly
* Thicker sections will cure faster
* Heat will cure the epoxy faster
* Cold will cause the epoxy to cure more slowly
Top figure sculptor Mike Falcigno reviewed ProCreate in Amazing Figure Modeler Magazine, Issue 39, and he seemed to like it;
_ "significantly less sticky than the competition."
_ "Compared to Green Stuff it is softer in the mixing stage easier to manipulate, smoothes out much more evenly."
_ "Many epoxy products are much more gritty in texture, ProCreate has a much
finer grain - perfect for sculpting both organic and machined structures."
_ "The opaque gray color is very easy on the eyes and allows for clear visibility when adding fine detail."
_ "holds very tight detail and machines quite well."
_ "For anyone who enjoys working in smaller scales I can honestly say that in my recent test, ProCreate beats Milliput, Green Stuff and Magic Sculp hands down in terms of workability, texture and final shore hardness."
So there you have it, Pro-Create beats the rest hands down. If that isn't enough of a convincer for you, try this; a typical 6" strip of kneadatite, (Citadel sculpting putty or Greenstuff) is just under 17g. A pack of Pro Create contains 35g of each component, in other words 70g of putty, more than four times the amount you get one of those little blisters.
$24.95 a pack. Compare that with your greenstuff!
