got a email today in reply to my last email , an apology and they said that they put a can of purity seal and a box of terminators in the post today ( Wednesday 11th ) though what i really wanted was a box of Terminators and a packet of 40K purity seals ( 16 & 2 skulls ) . never mind spray varnish stuff , sounds handy any thoughs Phil / Dunstan ?

never used it myself, but I've heard of plenty folk who do.
on your other question, probably because forgeworld stuff is resin cast in rubber molds, whereas the regular stuff is injection moulde plastic in steel molds?

I havent used purity seal... and I got to say I am going right off the varnish thing all together... Even my non witening Moana varnish whitened and ruind my resently restored DoomWheel.
None of my unvarnished models have any chips in them... this includes the 250 od orks that get a lot more play than any other models

I had a bad disaster with dullcoat recently. I was working on a crashed hurricane objective and it was all but finsihed when I hit it with the dullcoat, and it all turned white. I tried allsorts into put it right, and in the end the old standby johnsons klear did the trick. If johnson's ever get wind of how useful that stuff is to modeller's you can bet the price will skyrocket!

mind you, a couple of days after I saved it, I woke up to find the wing tips in my dog's kennel, and no sign of any of the rest of it! Bloody dogs, who'd have 'em!
