Today I have pushed 12 more models out of the wringer... still got 20 grots, 5 orks, 1 slaver and the trukk to finish painting. The Mek, well I never ended up getting cocktail umberellas, Might have to think up another plan for the forcefield generator so I still got converting to do, thank god I got till end of tonight...These FOW armies are looking sweeter every month...
Damn it, should have joined the craze... oh well, something else to look forward to... unlike the end of tonight.... glad i only got work tonday and no classes, means I got atleast 5 hours painting time that I will get paid for =]
anyways, every second typing this message is robbing my models and my sleep =]
Wish me luck and nodoze

OK Right, As you will see, 4 minutes before the deadline. First off I appologise for the crap photos, seems my photographer had better things to be doing than taking photos of my models at 11:56pm. I may organise him for this weekend so I can keep up to date with my web page creation (I have got me some free webhosting and just figuring out what the domain will be called) God What a mission, Here was the plan. 30 Slugga Boyz with Nob 20 Grots 1 Slaver 1 Squig 1 Trukk 1 Mad Dok 1 Mek With Forcefield So a Projected 55 models I have the 30 Boyz completed, My first full strength Boyz Mob, Yay. Dressed in Stylish red black these boyz are led by a Nob with a 'Uge Coppa (aka. Stone club from a giant). Probably not the most practical of weapons but I threw number crunching to the wind and figured if I was gunna where a samuri head gear made by sticking Kroot rifle stock on my helmet I bloody well want a big club to shut up anyone who laughs. You cant quite see it in the pic but the burner boy has unwound string fixed and glued to the barrels of his weapon and painted like smoke and fire, crowned by a epic warlord titan head for a cutting mask. Next we have 20 Grots, Converted aeons ago by myself from nightgoblins boxed set (No Duh Dustan )I will have better pics once I get my mate round and show you a few of the personalities, There is Stone Cold Steve Grotstin, flicking the double bird, Grotbo, with his ammo belt draped over his arm, The original Snappy, a poor grot that ended up in bloatgutz's Abitoir and came out fitted with an iron gob (Painboss aint picky about whos flesh he bolts stuff into). there are a few other character ones but I did them so long ago I forget what I called them. I need to build up 10 more to complete the unit so if you got any celeb personalities you would like to see grotty then flick us a personal message and I will see what I can do =] A BRIGHT Orange Squig... Why because I couldnt find my tentacle pink (pinks my secret favourite colour) Hes my last squig too so I am going to have to buy more... I hope I can get more old school ones, I love the new models but I got a soft spot for balls with teeth. The Slaver was made at the same time as the Grots and is a conversion of a Fantasy Orc Shaman, I used him to keep the robed theme (*singing* they are a cult of personalities ) get it get it ? Sorry its late and I like old songs. The Grabba stick was made from a epic mega-gargant claw, spear, chaos rhino gargoyle oh and 2 bolts shaved off a choppa. the hand holding it is plastic gloved hand which replaces the original bone staff hand. The Doc who I mostly painted last month got his right arm, and hand sculpted doctors medical bag. The Trukk was a Chimera chop blended with Old school rhino. Its Has all the painting done and is awaiting detailing with the rest of the vehicles... its part of this months plan, I wanted to do ALL the squad and vehicle markings at the same time so I wouldnt run out of waterslide transfers after the first vehicle. Sadly I didnt complete my quota though, The poor old mek boy has no arms, half a paint job and I only got the cocktail umberelas today so no time to make the Forcefield... BTW I am going to retro fit my original burna boyz mek with a kustom forcefield. Decided their battlefield role will be slightly more than I anticipated, pluss it will let the killer kans and dread walk up without to many scratches (not to mention the waves of boyz) The Terrain Boards are no closer than the pics from earlier in the month, Think of it as one 2x4 modular board painted and awaiting flock and balast and another awaiting texture and details. So This month I finished 54 of the projected 55, my 'Ardtoofs retinue is still not done but at least he has a trukk to Tool Around in Current Model count in WARGH! 'Ard Toof is 86 including a Dreadnaught and a Trukk. Next Month I will crack the 100 model mark and try to round out the army to be a functioning force... Stay Tuned

Nice work man thats a hell of a lotta work for one month. My mate's taking up an Ork army (says he likes the idea of outnumbering after playing with chaos) and I think he's right - horde armies seem to be the way to go if you can spare enough time to get them battle-ready. Hmmm now I want a horde army, I think I might start playing with a traitor IG army...

Hey Dustan if you wanna try out Flames of War I'm sure we could sort out a demo game / lend you an army for a crack at it. Rules wise it's structured a lot like GW's game and is just as streamlined. Games wise it's quite good fun and reasonably well balanced. Aaron has quite a nice selection of terrain together already to represent Normandy and I'm slowly revving up to getting some North African terrain sorted...
It's quite a gentle introduction to historic gaming really. Prior to FOW the only other historic gaming I'd done was played some Squad Leader years and years ago. I got into it because I was reading a lot of WWII history and I thought it only fitting to support a local figure company!

Why dont we all strike out from our respective cities, villages and hamlets and for a community around a modeling store run by the people and for the people... Like hippies but with minatures instead of psycadelic rock, love and peace...
Dont think many wives or Girlfriends would be into it, but it would at least be in a good neighbourhood =]
