In K&C it says you can upgrade your anti tank guns to either 6 pdr portees or 6pdrs towed by jeeps for the same points value. What's the difference in game terms?

The only real difference is that 6pdr Portees can fire without unlimbering! Which I'm sure you can appreciate is quite a difference...

ahh, makes sense. What about driving up to somewhere then firing - do the rules allow you to make your move then turn around? or is facing not important?

Facing is important. But you can face any direction you like at the end of your movement with no penalty.
Moving always reduces your ROF to 1, or adds +1 to your to hit tests if it's already ROF 1 without moving.
So yes you can 'run and gun' with 6pdr portees. But your ROF will be reduced to 1.
Portees coming under fire are extremely brittle however!

Hi all, with the new rules just released the portee has become somewhat more deadly with the new Tip and run meaning it can fire then make the equivelent of a German Stormtrooper move to avoid return fire. Also the Portee has an AAMG and can move up to 16" a turn of roads or desert whereas the jeep can move 6" a turn.
