Since the weather has taken a trun for the worse today, I'm back in my micro-smithy. It's really not much fun working with literally red-hot steel and gas torches on a hot day!
I've made some progress on sword blades today, in fact the sword blades weren't a problem; it's the cross gaurds I'm still working out. Done a couple, not really happy with any of them.
I'm considering scrapping the cross-guards altogether, and just offering sword blades, as I always did, or alternatively use different materials for the hilts and gaurds, such as resin. I'm reluctant to do this though, for the simple reason that I like micro-blacksmithed stuff to be just that, smithed, not a mix of metal glue and resin.
Still, if that's what it takes, that's what I'll do.
Any of you interested in swords, I'd appreciate your thoughts on the subject (consider; blades will be cheapest, followed by combos, followed by all metal smithed)

I've just spent the last few hours visiting all the engineers and steel merchants in the area, and the good news I may have sourced a reliable supply of steel more suited to swords than that which I for spears.
Still doesn't solve the cross guard problem though.

Cool, the katana blades by themselves look good to me.
