Ive looked absolutly everywhere for a kit of one of these beauties and found nothing close at all.
I was wondering if anybody has any ideas on this??
I was thinking of using a imperial guard sentinal for the body and legs and scratch build the arms and guns. Only problem is ive never done anything scratch built before.
Any hints and tips in this area would be much appreciated.

try looking for cheap transformer toys. I know they made a big toy of the APU but too big for conventional troops. Scratch building is gets harder the cleaner you want the finish to be. I would say get plastic card and rods and a whole bunch of guitar wire. make templates so each side looks the same (ie make the template then cut the plastic or else you will have size creep =]look at how GW do their big articulated joints. you dont have to build working joints just a thing that LOOKS like it works (Mekboy philosophy) at the end of the day simple looks better =] look at my orks cybork arms, tooth picks and coated paper clips with an elbow joint made from putty (use kneadit multipurpose for setting the shape and then build the plastic ove it =\
I often dont draw many concept pics before building things but not everyone can work that way. Its fair to say though that at some stage I have made a scribble that looked like what I wanted... for something like this I would likely draw designs or find plans or lots of pictures...

Hmm transformer toys, ill keep a look out and see if i can get any for cheap,
the only guitar wire i have is my snapped bass E string (the thickest one) which is probly too big.
As for concepts, i think they may actually be needed this time.

The Giant robot warmachine that they pilot when fighting the squids and drills as they attack Zion. Kinda like a power loader but more like a giant articulated ape robot ;D its a tough call between that and the powerloader.
