Cracking into the Auckland Real Estate Market is no mean feat, congrats on that. The only downside is that you've hit a mortgage the second PitYak finished those awesomely cooltastic wowsers bases.

Best part is the big garage/workshop = Games Room! wow the lengths people go to for their hobbies. You bought a whole house and my hubby was having problems with me wanting just a sheet of plywood O.o

Cracking into the Auckland Real Estate Market is no mean feat, congrats on that. I think we found the holy grail of houses for first home buyers. A house we liked, in an area we are happy to live in that we could afford! Of course anywhere else in NZ (well except Wellington) the house would cost about $100k less than we paid but unless you want to commute form huntly you gotta pay the price. Still we are very happy to have been able to get into a place of our own!

Good on ya!
I don't know how I used to manage without all the space I have now, you really need somewhere where you can leave your gear setup, so you're not constantly unpacking / packing your tools, tripping over the cat, throwing stuff at the walls and what have you. (or three somewheres in my case)

Congratulations...there's nothing finer to a hobbyist than having your own garage! We've got a two car garage, aka a one car and one game table garage. Game table is usually covered with work in progress though . I'd imagine it's quite nice having a house to live in too. Stu www.tabletop-terrain.com
