I was looking in the shop the other day for a new flesh to use that was closer to human skin than tangerine skin. There was a bottle of vallejo, but it looked like it had been there for about 6 years, so I plumped for tamiya. Apart from their clears, I haven't used tamiya paints for years, but the colour in the jar looked ok, although i was a bit miffed that the bottles had shrunk over the years, or maybe that's just me growing; have you ever gone back to your primary school...
Any way, I've used it as a basecoat for the first time today, and I have to sy, I'm impressed! I'm painting an action figure, and while it doesn't exactly look human, it does look like "action figure flesh", which is a lot closer than most paints straight out the jar. Good one tamiya!
