Actually very interesting.
I'm making some similar stuff at the minute (the space hulk piece, not the monitors) but I'm being held up looking for a good source of pipes and connectors. I had thought the hardware shop would be ideal but went to mitre 10 and those right angle elbows are $3 each, which makes using a lot of them kind of expensive.

Or mold a pipe?
Buy lentghs of hose and chop it up?

What about a demo yard? or do you know any plumbers that might have old pipe?

All good ideas.
I've been using straws, but want something bigger. Thought about molding the pieces. might do that, but it'll use quite a bit of resin. Hosepipes an interesting idea, i was looking at the irrigation systems for inspirationn the other day.

The house im moving into has a few bits and pieces from an irrigation system. I could possibly flog some odds n ends for you. (when the wifes not looking of course)
Im not sure what we've got but I'd be happy to look.
