Actually one of the posts in the other thread sparked this. But I know that adding wings to a mount or figure is a very popular conversion. Trouble is, like stated in the other thread, they might be cheap to buy as parts but cost a fortune in postage and handling.. specially if a company has a minimum charge for international mail! and not everyone has a spare hundred or so to make ordering online from the US or GB practical.
So here it is, a range of wings would be simply ace. Demon wings, angel wings, fairy wings, butterfly wings.. shredded butterfly wings would be awesome too! I don't think I have actually seen wings created as a seperate item, only wings from existing minis available as parts.
What say you?

That;s interesting, I had never considered wings, but as you can probably guess I'm not personally inot fantasy so much techy scifi.
So, yeah, I'll give that some thought.
Shredded butterfly wings? What are you thinking?

well its the fallen fairy type theme, evil fairies always have tattered and torn wings. Everyone knows that! Aside from that there is a certain bittersweet symbolism about the concept that appeals to me. Wings are for flying but shreeded and torn they represent that freedom stolen away.
well angel and demon wings would probably be the best place to start, by angel I mean feathered, and demon I mean bat/dragon wings. Also a set of mechanical style wings could be fun instead of the more boring jet packs

Size-wise, the ones I showed you are from a Bloodthirster from Forgeworld made of resin but it's truly huge. I just showed you to get the style.

40k wings should be like 30 - 40mm length ways and say 20 - 30mm height ways, im loving that symbolism of the shredded wings
