And there you go Note that at the bottom I said I was quitting city terrain - Ive changed my moind but with a new feel: Dead-world industrial research station. So, along with Burbsee, Im interested in any ideas for city terrain.

Aaron had a good idea, he got a tin of stone effect spray paint to paint his board with, its such a great idea cause you can get a very black stone which you could use for the board and then you just need to get a pack of cork tiles and spray them with the grey stone texture.
Then you chuck your grey, pavement coloured squares onto your black, tar seal coloured table and shizaam, instant streets and city blocks.
I am going to use this technique for my industrial terrain. Fist I need to build a standard brown 6x4 table with painted detail (mostly fun with spray paint) then complete my jungle terrain which will need another 2x4 section with less cracks. THEN I can make a plain industrial table.
Aside from having ample space to store all of this, I can make a 3 piece 6x4 table, each 2x4 being a sturdy framed 4.75mm mdf. I can make these segments VERY cheaply and once I find both suitable hinges and a means to keep it ridgid I will have a portable 6x4. Which I will be selling at a future date. or a near by date if the demand is great =]
I think a completed folding table top will weigh around 15 kg and be 600mm x 1200mm x 130mm. anyone know what kind of postage that would be ?

Oh yeah - a good technique that we discussed a while back: Sprue rubble. (there's a thread on that somewhere, too....) Good for rubble, especially if mixed up with kitty litter, offcuts of plasticard/real estate sign/teeny tiny bits of MDF. Used some of that around a landing pad that I made (Ill see if I can get pics of that to show you what I mean.

I think we've mentioned it on here in the past. 'White Knight' is the brand and 'Spray Stone' is the product from memory.
Should be in with all the other spray can paints at Bunnings.
