Some more old Grenadiers from the 80s Knight   Ninja   That's a replacement steel blade  Tricky pulling off the all black figures. Fighter   I wanted to try something different here, and thought the green and gold suited the claws on the armour  |

Wow, I like your all black figure. I must say I have extreme trouble getting a convincing look when I use black on any of my minitures. I'm thinking of the cloth of the men of Minis Tirith for LOTR. It never looks finished. Got any suggestions on improving the over all look? Last time I attempted them I just gave them a base of black. I then lightly dry brushed it with various grays and then washed it with ink. It worked quite well for my Ringwraiths but yeah, it didn't really pull off for anything else.

That's pretty much how I did the ninja; black base, coarse highighlights, then succesive washes of black and blue

Another minotaur  Beholders   The red one had two of the lower tentacles snapped off and two of the upper ones missing, all needed resculpting. Barbarians  These are all fine gaming standard, the mid-range painting I do. |

don't think I ever posted this one, just found this old pic of another  You can't see in the pic, but that smokey hand thing is coming out of a cauldron sitting at the wizards feet. The figure is stock, the bottles on the base are made from various beads |
