Well these are a good choice; not as ragamuffin as a modern sas team, but a lot more interesting than a regular wwii unit.
These are meant as european late war jeeps, rather than the desert ones you can buy. I'm not worrying too much about armanents fitting in with the rules, just making sure each jeep is suitably well armed, with a vaqriety of weapons throughout the patrol. So i've got 30 and 50 brownings, brens, mg42s and scratched twin vickers. Most of the stowage is just random bits and pieces and vaguely shaped pieces of green stuff; not too detailed, but should be suggestive of real objects once painted up.

I've just posted a link to some sas jeep pics.
When I started these models, I was going to dremel out the radiator grilles, but figured that was just a mod for the desert. Looking at these new pics, the europe jeeps also had grilles removed. Of course thinking logically, the jeeps would be the same ones as used in the desert, but with a respray. Might have to get the grinder out after all.

Ok I'm confused. Presumably that's been done for a reason...but what? I can't believe it improves airflow over the radiator.
I thought it would improve the odds of something getting flicked or blown in while you're driving and holing your radiator.

I would have thought it was to improve airflow into the radiator, but it may just have been to save weight, as one of those links mentions all superfluos pieces being removed from the jeeps, including bumpers in some cases. Removing your bumber would no doubt lead to trouble too, but the weight saving must have justified the ris. That's my guess.
