I'm wondering what I should do for this one...either:
40k Nurgle Chaos Space Marine scout group (Leader, 5 man retinue, maybe another 7 man squad and a vehicle)
Or
Maybe try and but together a group of 'Pulp era' figures. A little homage to Indiana Jones since I've just ordered a 12 man German DAK 28mm set of figures from the UK...

I like the pulp thing. I'm working on a fictional pulpish setting that is kind of a cross betwixt vicoriana and early 20th century.

Heh. Yeap check my blog for more details . I haven't ordered from them yet but will probably do so in the next week or so once some more modelling funds have cleared. Ordering from multiple manufacturers is going to be interesting...hopefully the scale differences won't be too noticeable. I'm looking to play the Pulp .45 Adventure rules myself.

Wargames illustrated had a good article a few months ago about pulp figures from various manufacturers, and how well they work together.

Grenadier used to do some beauties in their "call of cthulu range" - gangsters, cops, investigators, all kinds of 30s civvies and adventures (and weird many tentacled ones too of course)

Yeah I still own some of those old Grenadier figures...or at least I used to...I think they're rattling around in the garage somewhere. From memory they were 'true 25mm' as well which might be a bit slight by today's standards.
Is that Wargames Illustrated article online anywhere or just a magazine article?

Just a mag, but they do compile their back issues onto cd every couple of years if you want to wait a while. or I could let you borrow mine as long as I get it back.

I did find the article I think... 'Drop the Roscoe' in issue 205 I believe. Any chance you can just summarise . Namely...will Artizan Design studio figures work well with Copplestone's?!

i think i got mine sorted out roughly.i will do a force with my jumppack commander as my leader(as i have no body to fit the role at the moment-but if i can come up with something new i will) and i will have a razorback transport with a 6 man squad and maybe a scout squad with the sniper rifles-as it is a scout force!!
