Alright, it's not a figure model, but who cares? This was a bored sunday afternoon project, a 28mm scale ground attack craft, not meant to be anything in particular, just a load of bits clagged together. The fuselage is made from a milk frother / coffee stirrer thingy, most of the airplaney bits are from a 1:48 harrier kit, the cockpit is a contact lens case, the weapons are mostly scratchbuilt. Haven't decided how to paint it yet, so I just bombed it gold to see how it looks.

Nice. The paint job reminds me of Flash Gordon for some reason...maybe it's part of Ming's fleet .

Heheh I just posted the pics to the clubhouse, and thay was the first reply I got there too!
My three thoughts for colouring were
The goldy falsey flash gordony style
Camo
or just sort of flat coloured, black, grey, something like that.

Rivet on a few armour plates and it would make a great orky bomber Very cool

In case you're wondering, when it was finished the body proportions reminded me of a broadbill, hence the name.

Its an interesting way to get the name. It made me think of one of the monster cards from Yu-Gi-Oh (I played hard core for about a year). It is called Gravus or something, its basically a space ship with a host of cards that are plug in weapons for it in particular. There is also I am sure a old electronic game (on many systems) called gradius, which was one of them fly a spaceship and pick up power ups. I wonder if they have been similarly inspired by the mighty predator of the sea BTW, I still think it looks like an ork bomber and needs rivited armour plates and a sweet red paint job.

I dunno, those flowing curves don't say ork to me. Orca maybe.
Still, keep your eyes open, I might trademe it.

I agree, there are a few to many curves to be pure orky but its the visual weight vs. shortness of wings that realy captures the Ork spirit of: Doesnt look like it will fly, on paper it doesnt pysically meet flight specification but and above all else it will fly cause it was built to =]
Most Orky things have a tendancy to work based not on the laws of physics but on the latent psycic potential of Orks.
