OK, the modeling madness is over for another month and I find myself at a loss for things to paint... Untill I decide what to do about this month. I though maybe pull out my Beil Tan Craft world Eldar (yay asspect warriors). I though of mobilising my bits box and throwing together a few conversions but I scrapped those ideas. Instead I grabed my box of undercoated and ready to go Genestealers. Threw in my brushes and the 4 paints I need (Snot Green, Red Gore, Black & White) and set off to work.
I got about 60 old genestealers (All from the 2 versions of space hulk) and 14 of the new Stealers. I haven't finished assembling the new ones yet as they will be my Broodlords retinue. My broodlord is finished accept for his base.
The goal is to get as many of these little rotters base coated and ready for dipping as I can...
BTW This many vanilla flavoured stealers is a 1500 point army. I'll message again later and let you know How I get on. Pics to follow

Well, the going is slow but getting faster... The first 4 took me 30 minutes a piece to paint the green on them (flesh areas only). I have painted 12 now and the last couple took about 12 minutes to paint the green. It was a mix of watering the paint down enough and familiarity with the models... I hope by the end of the next 12 That I can paint the green in around 5 minutes a piece. Pictures once I cleaned my room up =]

Thats' what i like about painting bulk figures; I have my stop watch going and when I finish the first one it's like "oh shit i've grossly undercharged again", but as you progress it's quicker and quicker. Like you say, I normally find the later figures taking half or a quarter of the time for the first.
