ok so to start off with, on the matter of the machine god c'tan thoery: There is a thoery in the Warhammer 40k universe that the Machine-God is in fact the Void Dragon, one of the four surviving C'tan lords (the four being the deciever, the nightbringer, the void dragon and the outsider). The Dragon is said to be slumbering within Mars, and his eventual reawakening would shake the very foundations of the Imperium. This is hinted due to the fact that people were sent to see the machine god, no one ever returned from previous attempts but in this one, one returned he had personally removed all bionics claiming the machine god was evil etc etc, he was considered crazy and locked up. there has also been other stories that hint of the location of the dragon and rumours that it may be on mars. this rumour is basically to keep people thinking i think however i have found out what the machine god, its a chaos god. now before you grab your pitchfork and burn me hear me out. His name is Malal he is the renegade 5th Chaos God In the stories, both for Warhammer Fantasy and Warhammer 40k, Malal was exiled from the rest of the Chaos Gods, but whether this was a self-imposed exile is not clear. Regardless of the reason, Malal lives only to destroy the other Gods and their followers in the name of revenge. here ya might see that he would go to any extent to destroy the other chaos gods... maybe even side with the imperium... maybe Malal as a chaos god represents the human tendency toward destruction, even of itself... this would explain why the machine god gives out big guns to the imperium and even why bionics are present and that those closer to the machine god like to destroy there body on purpose only to get given bionic limbs. His followers come from people whose hatred of Chaos becomes so strong, that they willingly bond with Chaos to fight it at its own level. heres where i truly started becoming convinced that the machine god was Malal. Here is wat really made me think id uncovered GW's masterpiece. Malal's symbol is a skull bisected down the middle, one half white, one half black www.album.co.nz/photo/11337here's a link to the Adeptus Mechanicus (cult of machine god) symbol

Hmmm I gots some fluff for ya about Blood Ravens.
Rumour has it that they are the loyal remnants of the Thousand Sons. This is seen through their abundance of psykers, and their colour scheme. Closer observation reveals their colours are almost identical to the pre-heresy Thousand Sons, complete with bird motifs (chapter symbol, etc.).
Also they don't know who their primarch is and the High Lords have not researched this which is unusual (due to the regular geneseed collection and observation), and if Magnus the Red (TS primarch) was infact their primarch I see good reason for the imperium not the tell the Blood Ravens.
Just a little something to think about.

i always wondered where the machine god fitted in but i never bothered to find out anything about it. that theory sounds pretty good especialy with the similarity of the symbols...
