Hello all,
I've been painting miniature wargaming figures since i was 14. I had an awesome art teacher in highschool who was probably one of the best miniature painters i have ever seen. I learned a lot form him and my skills grew pretty rapidly.
I started painting mainly Warhammer Fantasy figs though i painted quite a few 40k, warmaster, and reaper figs as well (whatever was available to me). When the GW lord of the rings game was released I focused all of my atention to it. From there i turned to painting mordheim untill that game sort of fell of the face of the earth. Now im back to lord of the rings.
Im originally from the US but i moved to NZ 2 years ago to be with my beautiful wife Hanna. Seeing the popularity of miniature games here i want to get more into the hobby in general. Im also thinking about collecting some flames of war figs

Welcome aboard
Another one who suckered into coming here by the missus, eh?
There's a few fowers on here, myself included. I'm mostly a historicals man (or ancient man as one wag put it), in fact I'm just giving my eyes a break after working on some medieval scots and english. I've been turning sows' ear plastics into silk purses, and making pikes and sword blades all day. Fingers, eyes and head demanded a breather.

A fellow Mordheim player! Well met sir. In my opinion Mordheim is one of the finer games GW have published. But of course it only requires a handful of figures so they don't support it any more . Where are you based in New Zealand? Not Auckland by any chance? If so I've got a dusty Mordheim table that needs some exercise... If not what warbands are you playing? Myself I prefer Orcs'n'Goblins and Rieklanders.

Hi, my name is sojung
I play no games, but I do paint a lot of variety of stuff, gw stuff, warmachine, and lately getting into historical stuff, early modern period and renaissance if i can get my hands on any miniatures. I prefer 28mm simply because my eyes can't see anything smaller for a long duration lol. (hence giving up Epic 40k immediately)
saw the forum from pityak's spears on trademe (i'm MF3000 on trademe and other places on the internet)

Hi All,
I've been war gaming, painting and collecting for about twenty years now (give or take). My first war game was an old GW game called 'Adeptus Titanicus', which I won as a door prize at an AD&D convention when I was a lad. The game was an early predecessor to WH40K Epic and revolved purely around batles between Titans. It was a great deal of fun and I still miss it... But I digress.
Since then I've played Warhammer FB, though not since the 90s, and have been playing 40K since Rouge Trader.
I'm happy to have finally found a good message board that has a reasonable amount of activity. These days I play Warhammer 40K exclusively, although WH Fantasy Battle has been drawing my eye a bit since the new rules came out...
I'm Wellington based and am always interested in finding people or groups to game with, so if you are interested drop me a note.
