yeah - i heard that watchmen is in production with zak snyder (sp?) of 300 (which i actually enjoyed) fame at the helm.

there is so much potential for this to go horribly wrong, particularly as the way the original story is crafted is so perfect for the medium it was published in.

for instance, i always admired the way the narrative for the pirate comic sub-plot weaves seamlessly into the events that are happening in the "real world" with the cold waresque escalation of fear etc. splicing panels together from each story line with the narrative applying equally to both (almost like crossfading two music tracks) - i just don't see how that would translate to film??

of the other alan moore filums i have to say i enjoyed From Hell and V for vendetta - tho they couldn't match up to the novels.
the league of extraordinary gentlemen however, was a bit of a let down

i guess it really could go either way - there is almost no question of any film matching up to 'the book' but with a Sin City style approach it's got potential to be an awesome watch.
the way it stands at the moment tho i'm more looking forward to SC2.

things in blighty are just dandy btw fella. currently single and enjoying my old age and wisdom. stll teaching at gossy high and the bus still isn't finished yet! what's new eh?
