Am I missing something, or does this just not make any sense at all? Last night the wife came in and said "Can you clear a space in the garage, I need to put my mam's car in it?" "Your mam's car? Your mam's got a garage" "yes but she's going on holiday and is letting her friend use hers while she's away"

As hard as a man may try he will never understand even a small fraction of a the fairer sex's logic!

They more you understand them the less you wish you did, its much easier to go through life with only mans logic.
I dont claim to be an expert and I wish that I had never been told that I seem to understand (partially) what women are on about. here would be my take on the situation
I would be thinking along the lines of there is no other safe parking and on account of the Features (unknown) of the Garage and/or cost and condition of the car. It makes it much Better for the friend to use the garage and for you to displace your stuff. The friend is helping out Her so shes trying to return the favour by making it as comfy as possable for them
Because of course to women its still just a Garage. The concept of it being your inner sanctum, your cave, a core part of being Male just doesnt register highly on the females radar.
Certainly one would expect the Friend to have a Garage however leaving the displaced vehicle there wouldnt be suitable as it puts another favour on the list so its been discounted before it even gets off the block.
I could go on and on (and on and on) for hours which is exactly why we accept it and put up with it.
Mans logic dictates that the woman is right unless it violates beyond tollerence. Why? Because who wants to live with an angry women.

all good points, but when the mother in law gets back she'll be putting her car back in her own garage, and the friend's car will will have nowhere to live again
... unless... wait a minute... I can see what's coming next!!!

That Classic Womans Logic that is. "But you've already got X." Where X = the Womans Proposition. ie. *The space for a car in there *Enough Models. *Too Many Toys. its a shame that rule is none reversable. * One Beer for me. * most of the blankets * A Kid. Or my favourite - But I've already got the tent pitched ;D My advise to you is the day her car leaves start building something, anything car sized will do. Like a 8x4 table or something. You only have to build it till the car finds another home.

good idea, but probably not a table - that might just draw attention to the fact that I've used the base of the new table she just bought as a stand for one of my grinders.
