ok here it is ;D now so what to do?? well lets as AARON suggested shove a whole lot of ideas together see what we like and try it.i think we should try for something with very little "guidelines" and give ourselves a descent amount of time and kind of just do something basic to get it going we could do a series of them with different points each time i.e.one month we do a single fgure or something and then another one we do the whole conversion thing(not necesserily a whole month=too long=wont do it probaly)
anyway just a basic idea not a whole competition just soemthing we can join in on when we feel like not so pressured as MWMM
its over to you guys now!!

Alright well seeing as I encouraged you I better through some thoughts out there. Figure of the week. Each week we select a different category (Sci-fi, fantasy, historical) and each person takes 1 - 3 photos of their chosen figure from their collection and submit it to a thread to be admired by others. Not a voting based competition or anything just a chance to show off your figures with other similar figures people have. Figure of the Month. Same as above but something you have painted within the last month without the categories. Patrol Painting Challenge. roughly 3 months long, each person paints a patrol size force (1 character couple of small units or a scout vehicle sort of thing) and constructs a themed piece of terrain to go with it. Terrain Challenge 6 week challenge to design, build, paint a terrain feature of your choosing. Massive Modelling Madness. a 6 month modelling challenge to collect and paint a new army! ;D

remember when we had a topic folder for home brew contests and we had like 3 topics with about 8 or 9 posts total. I dont wanna throw a damper on the idea cause I have a manditory participation habit What I am getting at is too many contests spoils the few.

that one never even crossed my mind but it is possible but it would mean everyone interested would have to get out and play a game and that might take a while or put people off.

Should this be a figure that we paint over the next 2 weeks or can it be our favourite general type figure that we have painted?
Either way Sounds good to me, I'll give it a roll!
Id like to put forward my Iron Warriors Chaos Space marine Lord as my entry. Currently he is at the undercoated black stage.

Well if I am making the rules for this one, it can be a model you have already, one you dont have yet but are getting. it can be at any stage of painting UNLESS it is a Standard out of box figure, in which case it must be painted. Plastic kits count as non standard so dont have to be painted. So as an example, Mephiston the blood angel MUST be painted whilst the multi part space marine commander doesnt. a FOW command tean has to be painted, unless you dont use the special base (with tables and maps etc) You dont need WIP shots so if you have finished the model you want to use then you draw an easy card, if you care to post WIPs anyway then yay for all us eager monkeys =} I will open a new topic with all the rules in it =] And here it is pityak.proboards40.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=minis&thread=1140842255
