Well Ive finally started making some progress over the last few days. The figures are now almost ready to be undercoated, just have to add the basing material to the 8 infantry teams.
Despite appearances I still intend to be finished by the deadline and have the figures ready to present on Monday. Its gonna be a big effort to get finished from this point but Ive got this plan:
Tonight: add basing material & undercoat all the figures. Tomorrow: base coat the vehicles & paint the bases on the infantry Saturday arvo: paint the vehicles Sunday: paint the infantry
From here that looks reasonably achievable so long as I can keep away from the damned computer!

Well at the moment things are looking pretty dire.
I'm off to pick up camera from my parents today so when I get home I'll be able to photography the not completed M10 Platoon... looks like Im gonna have to go a little over deadline to get them finished.
Cross your fingers but I dont think you'll be seeing the finished product before the end of the month. Sorry folks!

Ok well things didn't exactly turn out as planned at the start of the month but at least I've managed to complete something to post here. www.album.co.nz/a?1148Definately not my best work, the hoary great highlights on the front need a watered down wash of the base colour to blend them in and some of the highlighting along the edges has slipped onto the side of the tank and they also need to be tidied up. It was one of those months when I was in the mood to do everything but paint figures and even when the deadline was looming I still couldn't get motivated. The items I didn't get completed (jeeps & command on foot) will roll over into next month but I hope to get them finished sooner rather than later.

I think they look bloody good myself. Nice to see some stowage...and is that scratch built sandbags I see on the front of one of the M10's? I notice you've even carefully painted the rounds inside the cabins...lovely! I didn't even notice those pieces molded in there...
Still need US decals though imho - and maybe name a few of them?

Thank you for the kind words.
I was quite pleased with the rounds inside the cabin too, altho once the crew go in they'll only just be visible. The stowage Im not sure about. I dont think it looks bad but Im not convinced it looks good either.
They are definately in need of those touches you mentioned. Decals, flags, names, aerials etc I aim to actually finish off these guys 100% before I start on next months allocation.

Komrade! Not a Rifle Infantry company I hope...because then you'll be painting a FOW Horde Army! Russians have the largest Infantry platoons of anybody in the game . They've got some nice tanks though. The venerable T-34 and some other nifty stuff. I was tempted by them before I started the NZers.

Yeh Russians would be cool. Anything that has a rule where you get to execute one of your own teams and force a moral re-roll has got to be fun to play!
Those t-34's look mint too...
