Just curious as to what type of music people listen to, (and music they hate  ) Myself i listen to metal and hard rock such as Metallica and System of a Down, I also have a small selection of techno which i listen to occasionly...  I really hate rap, hiphop and that stuff, theres just no talent involved other than talking really fast well thats my taste, what about you??  |

Yea go the metal! System rock, but Iron Maiden and Joe Satriani are better I know that must sound strange, seeing as my favourite song is from 1983 and I'm only 17 but hey... As for rap, hip-hop, etc, I dont see the point in "rhyming" about shooting up some cop or "shagging" some girl, I mean thats just stupid |

Well, Seems we got a few metalers here =] And a poor reception for hip hop....
WELL, I do metal, I been doing metal for years, kinda over it, mostly now I am into Jazz, Bigband, NZ Hiphop, Regae, Ska, Skat, and Dub.
I like anything that mixes those styles, Dont like gangsta rap so much but I do like ego trippin rap, I like songs with stories or clever lyrics (Lenard Cohen or Tom Waits). Screaming J Hawkins, and Terry Taylor (did the music for PC games like neverhood and playstation follow ons like Skull Monkeys). I also like musicals...
I avoid most pop music, but some has good lyrics that are fun to sing. Dont do much (if any) country, but I do love to rock'n'roll
I like a hook, a catchy beat or something that gets me thinking
Love Gorillaz and the Black Eyed Peas.

Not when they had Blaze Bailey tho, he seemd too American to me, but he did have some cool songs I'll admit (Futureal, to name one)

Favorit iron maiden song is Prowler but my all time favourite is either Cigaro by System or Enter Sandman by Metallica

I tend to listen to what ever is on the radio. Which, at the moment is Black Eyed Peas but seriously have you heard them live? cant believe anyone would pay money for a ticket to see them...
Anyway favourte bands are a hard pick but probably Sublime, Papa Roach, Pink Floyd or Bad Religon.
My favourite song is really left field.
The Piano Man, Billy Joel... I HAVE to stop and listen everytime it comes on, something about that song...
Overall I agree with Dustan that anything with a hook will get me listening (Black Eyed Peas, Eminem, Axel F) but if Im buying albums its Rock or old school rock/metal.

Forst Time I saw the BE Peas was live, Limp Bizkit sucked at BDO (especially after Ramstein) so Iwent and watched BEP with asome mates.
They got a good stage show if you like Breakdancing... its impresive even if you dont get it... that was before ferge...
