BLOOD FOR KHORNE!

[glow=blue,2,300]Night fell over the barren desert landscape and the hill lit ablaze with campfires, loud voices echoed through the valley’s carrying words of anger and pain to the sky.

The orcs down in the foothills had heard these chilling sounds before and knew they inevitably lead to death.
Their boss ArdToof tried to reassure his mob of boyz to help them feel more secure but with no avail. The boyz were too agitated and scared to listen, squabbling amongst themselves.
ArdToof decided he would try to be smart and ordered the artillery to set up where they wanted to and be ready.

Late in the night a bloodcurdling scream rent the air as the warriors in the hills sacrificed their captives to the blood god, a howl of bloodlust ripped across the plain and swarming down the hill came the blood red armoured warriors of Khorne. Shells impacted near the orc camp as the roar of engines filled the air.
“WWWWWAAAAAAAAARRRRRGGGGHHHH!!!!,
Get up lazies time to go ammer those chaos boyz a gud un!!!”

We wont know what happens to the orcs untill we actually get to play a game amongst all this dustand!!
Dont you just love games with a plot to them??Its just great to write up sumthing and think its cool and then to actually put the story into 3D is even cooler. [/glow]

I havent actually played a game in about 3 years so I might be a bit rusty, I guess its kinda like a bike, but a bike that gets new rules every few years...

How many points whill you be lining up by the end of it, I have a few more models to buy but I have gone with collecting a full strength force organisation chart, little over 3000 pts (I am mad and have been amassing orks for about 5 years.) God its killing me, waiting till friday to start again.

Hows the 4'x4' going ? is it going to be a flat feild or will it have permanent features...

I want to build a board too but I have to figure out a
way to store it in my crowded shoe box appartment.

Have you seen the Tau vs Ork campaign on GW site ? its kinda sweet and with a little tweaking could be great. gives a list of terrain to build up as well.

now I remember why I had Demolisher & basilisk & 2 fire support squad's also 4 Dreadnought's and Longfang squad plasma Fire st/10 does tend to slow down atacking side ;D

Hmmm yes like a bike..... i bike that gets more and more new specialist brake features and a 6 speed automatic gear system, and way more expensive aswell....

By the end of this i Hope to have only 1500 points as im very poor atm,

We have been accumulating different terrain pieces over the month and want the table to maybe be made of a few squares that can be switched around or just go with the traditional flat board and have lots of moveable pieces.

I dont think i have seen the article but i really HATE tau building, their just way too clean and perfectly built, not for me....

besides, I dont want to use my Tau army until I get the rule worked out again. More interested in the orks, less tactics more charging...

I hate building clean looking building, I need the mess to hid the lazy driven sloppiness of my work I have knocked up a few Tau buildings The were on teragenisis until the boards got hacked. I am planing a webpage/blog thing so they will appear on that.

I went and brought 2 2'x4' mdf sheets and a couple sheets of polystyrene today, I have been making terain with a jungle theme which is why I wrote the grey text about the orc spawning ground. I plan to make them modular and build a few more at a later date, for now 4'x4' is all I can store around here. There will be depth to the board but I dont know if I will go with fixed hills or build and store them seperate...

I would only make sense to at least consider compatability, I make most pieces moveable but hills are hard to store and hard to make out of regular white polystyrene. I have to sketch some thing up tonight so I guess I will work it out

1500 pts is a sweet amount, good size for battles and usual contest size. I am wondering where I will get money for all the orks I want. but for the hours of entertainment and stisfaction its worth the money...

Just a quick story written for english at school....

0400 hours
Kael and the rest of the chapter were assembled in the fortress monastery’s chapel for Morning Prayer and contemplation.
Kael and his brethren silently renewed their oaths of loyalty to the Emperor of the Imperium, to root out the heretic, slay the mutant and purge the unholy.

0500 hours
Kael hushed the 10 men in power armour into the armoury for morning firing rites.
As Kael was unloading his 5th clip out of his bolt pistol, an urgent message came from the monastery fortress’s command centre and showed on his H.U.D.

Srg Kael
Squad “Fiery Death”
Distress signal received from nearby system Kethra V
Your are to ready your men for quick deployment in by thunderhawk gunship.
You will be accompanied by squad “Heat Sync”
DROP TIME: 0615 HOURS
Move to designated incursion zone and await further orders.

“Cease fire!” yelled Kael over the noise of the bolt pistols.
As the noise quietened down to a minimum, Kael addressed his men.
“We have a number two priority distress call from scouts down on “Kethra V”
We will insert by Thunderhawks and move to incursion zone Charlie, to await
further orders.”
“Any questions?” he added as an after thought.
“Drop time?” asked the eager new recruit to the squad, Belius was his name as shown on Kael’s H.U.D.
“0615 hours, anything else?”
“Good, lets get Kited up and head to the Hanger.”

0618 Hours
“Thank the Emperor we’re still alive!” remarked the shaken staff sergeant Cavendish of the 2nd scout unit on Kethra V.
Kael and his men took off through the forest to take on a unit of Tau infantry in front of the Heavy tanks.
But in an instant they were totally engulfed by the Tau’s gruesome “Kroot” allies coming out of the dense forest to the left and taking down the youngest squadron member Belius.
But the other marines were quick on the draw and quickly revved up their chainswords and barrelled headlong into the incoming tide of kroot mercenaries.
Kael hacked viciously upwards with his master crafted chainsword taking down one of the many kroot.

Assault squad Heat Sync fared much better as they were on the right side of the advance and now they unleashed a salvo of lead and hot plasma strait at the kroot not engaged with squad Fiery Death, Brutally disembodying most of them before they themselves, leapt to the sides of their battle brothers.
