If there is anyone at all out there who needs mass amounts of empty sprues to cut down and make into sprue rubble, let me know.
I have the sprues of a chaos defiler, a SM predator, dreadnought, assault squad, 2x chaos marine box sets, 2x SM troops box sets, a beserker box set and a SM commander box set. The amount of sprues fills up a the defiler box and the predator box.
If anyone out there needs any sprues for any purposes, I have heaps to spare, just PM me and i'll send you as much as you want.

I got similar issues with sprue. it would be cool if they recycled it and gave you a discount voucher for being a tidy kiwi Jeez Iam a miser The thing I dislike about storing it is the way the pointy bits that had pieces attached dig in under your fingernails when you reach into a box.

Sprue is quite annoying if you're not collecting a city themed army, cause it just keeps building up! Damn stuff.. So I thought this'd be a good way to get rid of the blasted stuff

A Couple other uses for sprue are scale mail and sprue bushes.
Sale mail (Credit for this goes to my buddy Aaron Henderson)
carefully slice 'ribbons' of sprue by keeping your knife at a low angle, it will curl off much like icecream into a scoop. the resulting natural curve conforms to models as beefy as orks or scrawny as skaven. I will post some pictures of my plastic Clanrat -> Storm Vermin conversions once I get home. The arent physically much bigger but the added armour makes them stand out in the crowd.
Sprue Bushes
These occured to me as a result of making scale mail. Take a stick of sprue and trim the four long corners of them, giving you a more rounded 8 sided stick, now carefully slice into the small end but maybe 1cm from the end of the stick on a slight angle towards the center of the sprue. turn the stick as you go and try to always start at a corner. Again, the sprue will curl as you cut it. Eventually you will have a 1cm long pointy sprue nub that will break off easily.
Buy a 5 pack of runny superglue from the 2 dollar shop and after sticking it to the base put a big drop of glue in the center and blow it down into the leaves, otherwise it is to fragile and will likely break apart when you paint it... Let the glue dry properly before you paint it as super glue plus brush equals a brush even I can use =]
I am going to be putting scail mail onto my ork Ard Boys when that month comes along. and every now and again I make a sprue bush to detail up a tyrant sized base or dragon base.
Thats a couple other good uses for sprue that take you away from the city fight/sprue rubble constraint. I am going to copy this into another thread and see what else people can come up with.

NEVER throw away sprue! Use it to make free filler (and this coming form someone who sells filler!) If yoiu don't know how, you haven't been reding the forum long enough
