Right, I'm slowly learning about all the features of the message board, which is turning out to be a better and better random choice every day.
The number of stars and hence your rank is based on the number of posts you have made.
The ranks are are as follows;
Ambitious Upstart Social Climber Posterboy High Flyer Someone with too much free time
I know these names are a bit lame, but it's the best I could come up with at short notice. Better than "New Member" and "Regular Member" though.
Let's have some suggestions for better rank names!

I'm an admin/goddess in a roleplay mud and that comment is just too funny (the reason I don't want to laugh out loud is my family tend to look at me like I'm a sandwich short of a picnice when i giggle at the computer)

I came up with an idea for ranking names kinda goes with the whole painting/modelling/talking rubbish theme we've got going on. Apprentice Journeyman Master Maestro Savant Altho master and Maestro are really the same thing Maestro sounds flasher!

They're interesting ideas.
When White Dwarf was still a good magazine, it had an article on a new character class for D&D, the artificer, a sort of engineer / smith / craftsman type. The character levels all had name like apprentice, journeyman and such.

That would be good, but I want us to be a bit more original. One of the main forces behind this is getting people to think beyond gw The military idea is quite apt though. See if you can up with some "amusing" military ranks; Putty Private Sprue Sergeant Latex lieutenant (but anyone who pronounces that loo-tenant gets banned!) Resin Regimental Sergeant Major ...something like that I could even make a competition out of it? What do you say? Aaron; I still like your crafty ranks, but the sculptor's forum in which I participate uses similar ranks, and I don't want them thinking I ripped off their idea! ...having said that, they are very suitable, so just maybe...

Latex Lieutenant... now that sounds like something I'd be into! BTW we dont need you English people bringing proper pronounciation out to the colonies... we are quite happy speaking out bastardised anglo-american-australian-pacific island blend of english!
